Singer Avril Lavigne's husband Deryck Whibley has clearly stated the rumored split-up is completely false.Avril and Deryck, was married last 2006. Deryck's management firm Nettwerk Music Group stated that "For the record, we strongly deny the inference of marital problems between Avril and Deryck. Deryck has in fact been traveling through Asia performing with Avril as evidenced by the numerous YouTube videos."
Rumours of their split were started when Deryck was spotted at a Los Angeles event holding hands with a yet unknown woman.
